2x ePiano

Qué es 2x ePiano ? /What is the e2x ePiano?

2x ePiano It´s a sound system of two modules or interfaces built entirely of wood. They combine 4 electret condenser microphones for each one (8 in total) and optionally 2 ebow, also each one (4 in total). The modules are placed to the different parts of the piano (usually above the keyboard and in the strings zone) with a system that does not damage it. This allows it to be handled by a maximum of 2 players (one on the keyboard and one on the strings) . Each interface works independently to the sound patch, which is designed with Max Cycling. It connects via USB to Mac or PC. The instrument is quadraphonic, so it requires a 4-way to work properly (4 + 1 amplification is recommended) It can be played simultaneously by a maximum of 2 players, and also a system of prerecorded presets can be combined between them. The range of sounds that can be obtained is enormous, and again it is the player himself who interacts with electronics, without the need of third parties. The fact that the sound is the same as the piano, it helps the performer quickly recognize the mechanisms of the electronics, as it can be identified as an extension of their technique. The system uses Arduino as the basis of the computer connection hardware, and it connects directly without additional drivers.
